Cross-linked PMMA Particles【MBX Series】
Paints / Inks
"TECHPOLYMER" is widely used as a matting agent in paints. When incorporated to paint and coatings, "TECHPOLYMER" is easy to handle as it disperses well in solvent formulations, adds scratch resistance and matting.
Specific "TECHPOLYMER" grades offer additional functionalities such as texture (soft feel), solvent resistance, chemical resistance, etc.

"TECHPOLYMER" can add functionalities such as reducing gloss, increasing scratch resistance, and adding texture when incorporated to paint and coatings.

Features
-
Adding light diffusion properties
Able to add matting and texture.
-
Good dispersion properties
Able to propose different levels of solvent resistance to ensure good dispersion properties compared to alternative material in solvent base formulations/binders.
-
Abrasion resistant
Increases the abrasion resistance of the coating surface.
-
Soft feel (Haptics)
The soft particle grades can add soft feel effects on the coating surface.
-
Improving chemical resistance
Chemical resistance of the coating surface can be improved by "TECHPOLYMER" The variation of the different solvent resistant grades offers multiple solutions.
Applications
An uneven surface created by incorporating spherical polymer particles in coatings, assists in matting the surface with light diffusion properties and adding texture.
The smaller particle size "TECHPOLYMER" adds finer unevenness and can create depth in matted surface, while the larger particle size can add a satin finish.
Applications
-
Adding textures and matting effects on the coating surface.
-
Adding a soft feel.
-
Increasing abrasion resistance.

Softness
Compared to MBX series, the soft particle series adds a soft feel to the coating surface along with scratch resistance properties.
